I use two different types of images for my products.  I use regular photos which are clear and crisp.  I am not experienced with photo editing so they are basically untouched.  I also use a software to convert my photos to paintings.  This creates a unique effect on the picture. I prefer the look of the painting effect on most of the pictures I take.  The images above show the difference in the two types of images.

Duluth, Minnesota is a popular tourist destination for nature lovers.  It sits on the western tip of Lake Superior and is home to the Aerial Lift Bridge.  This one of a kind structure serves as an entrance gate  for the gigantic lake.  Every summer people flock to Canal Park to, hopefully, see the bridge raise for a ship to pass through.  The city of Duluth has two very different sides.  The downtown and Canal Park area cater to the tourists.  The high end restaurants and hotels are found there.  It sits below the hillside and offers magnificent views of Lake Superior and the harbor.  The other side of Duluth sits above the hillside.  The shopping malls and discount stores can be found there.  While it caters mostly to the residents of the area, it does it's fair share of tourist business as well.  It is a huge city in terms of area and has plenty of things for residents and tourists to enjoy.

Within 40 miles of Duluth is both Gooseberry Falls State Park and Split Rock Lighthouse.  Gooseberry falls offers five series of waterfalls along a river that runs to Lake Superior.  People love to hike the trails that run along the river.  Each visit to this park is a different experience.  In the spring, the flow of water is much greater.  The water roars as it passes over the rocks.  In the middle of the summer, the flow is weaker and allows people to get up close and personal with the waterfalls.  It is a great experience no matter when you visit.

     Split Rock Lighthouse is another state park along the North Shore of Lake Superior.  The historic lighthouse was completed in 1910 and was functional until 1969.  A severe storm in 1905 damaged 20 ships belonging to the steel companies.  A call for a lighthouse came shortly after.  The beautiful structure stands high along the rocky shore.  Tourists flock to the park every year to get their very own glimpse of this historic structure.

I have really enjoyed making products with my own images. I have been doing this for a few months now and have purchased some nice things. I have given these products as birthday and Christmas gifts.  These are truly unique gifts and have a personal touch to them. To me that is worth more than something that was purchased at a national discount store.

That being said everyone has the opportunity to add a personal touch to our products.  When you click on the product image you will be taken to the product page.  From there you will see a customize it button in the lower right corner of the page.  By clicking there you can add text to the product or change the image completely.  If you have your own image you want to use, you can upload it from there.  It is fun to see what you can create.
